Ben Williams
Founder & Registered Patent Attorney
Ben Williams, a Colorado intellectual property attorney, founded Williams Intellectual Property in Denver, Colorado in 2012 — and since then, he and his team have written hundreds of patents for inventors and corporations across the U.S. and abroad. After putting himself through law school following the birth of his daughter, Ben passed the California Bar on his first attempt in 2022 and opened his second office in Los Angeles.
Ben is admitted to practice before the USPTO, the State Bar of California, and multiple federal courts, including the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit — the nation’s premier patent appeals court. His recent results include a successful $800,000 arbitration, a significant trademark fraud judgment, and an early settlement in a federal patent infringement case. He has been recognized as a Power Lawyer by Lawyers of Distinction three years running and named among the Top Ten IP Law Firms by Attorney and Practice Magazine.
When you work with Ben, you work directly with an attorney who has spent over a decade in the trenches of patent law — drafting claims, fighting examiners, and winning in court.
